Meet Dr. Mika Sanghvi
DVM & CVADr. Mika Sanghvi is a general practice and holistic medicine veterinarian at Levittown Animal Hospital. A native Long Islander, Dr. Sanghvi completed her undergraduate degree at Stony Brook University, earning a Bachelor of Arts in Physical Anthropology. After pivoting from a pre-med track, Dr. Sanghvi fell in love with the veterinary field. She received her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Western University of Health Sciences in 2014 and has been practicing at animal hospitals in Long Island and New York City ever since. Dr. Sanghvi is also certified in veterinary acupuncture, with a Chinese Veterinary Acupuncture (CVA) degree from the Chi Institute.
Dr. Sanghvi has over a decade of general practice and surgical experience with small animal dog and cat patients. As a certified veterinary acupuncturist, she’s passionate about the intersection of traditional and holistic medicine in the veterinary field, and is actively pursuing a master’s degree in Integrative Veterinary Medicine, which includes herbal therapy, rehabilitation, and nutrition.
Dr. Sanghvi was born and raised in Levittown, NY, so the hospital has always been close to home. In her free time, Dr. Sanghvi is an avid world traveler and loves spending time with her two cats, Peanut and Pebbles, and her rescue dog, Millie, who has earned the title of “Levittown Fashionista” from the hospital team with her stylish outfits.
